Janice is the director and instructor for Music Lessons of the Desert.  Janice started learning piano at age four and was classically trained growing up.  While starting off with a classical music background, over time, Janice began exploring different genres, enabling her to create a unique style that is her own.  Despite her childhood dream of becoming a concert pianist, Janice wanted to expand her knowledge in different fields of studies and ended up getting non-music degrees; however, various opportunities to learn different styles of music, teaching music to students of all ages and levels, being a part of music education research, writing and producing music, and performing music in different settings never ceased. She has been an active musician and educator for over 20 years. 

Combining her teaching expertise with her experience of working with many different musicians from all walks of life, Janice also finds fulfillment in connecting her students/clients with other fellow music instructors who can teach various styles, genres, and instruments.
