Bernardo S
(Guitar, Piano, Music Theory & Composition)
Bernardo is a musician and educator. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he learned English at 2 years old, and moved to Miami at age 6, where he began his first piano lessons.
Bernardo would later pick up guitar at 16 and would dedicate the next 15 years of his life to it, first as a student of Music Pedagogy at the prestigious Unirio (where he also was lead electric guitar in the class orchestra, along classical musicians such as horn and violin players) and then in 2015 when he moved to Los Angeles to study at Musicians Institute (MI).
Bernardo graduated from MI in 2020 with a Bachelors in Guitar Performance, and an Outstanding Player Award. He came in as a guitar player but left as a full musician, with knowledge of different areas in Music such as Theory, Ear Training, Arranging, Composing, Songwriting, Scoring for Film/TV/Games, Transcribing, Producing and Band Directing.
Bernardo uses and teaches Logic Pro X and Ableton Live to create and produce music, and Sibelius for music notation.
